Fountains and water features are increasingly popular and sophisticated, serving both practical and aesthetic purposes. Ranging from off-the-shelf units to enhance lakes and pools though to custom designs of major water features, Biwater Leisure can undertake design, supply and installation of these features.
Water Features and fountains may be used in a number of ways, often complementary; these fall into three main categories:
- Aesthetic Design
- Aeration of Lakes and Ponds
- Wet Play Areas
Major fountains, such as those in Canary Wharf, are popular meeting and gathering places, adding life and movement to urban landscapes. They often come with complex control gear enabling variation in the displays, with changing, multi-coloured light patterns, co-ordination with musical soundtracks and different spray heights and patterns. In larger displays, anemometers monitor wind speed and reduce the fountain height in high wind conditions to reduce water drift.
Water features enhance leisure pools allowing adults and children alike to play in jets and flows of water. Biwater have designed and supplied a range of custom features in many locations worldwide.
Lakes and pools often benefit from water movement in the form of fountains and Biwater are pleased to be worldwide agents for Cascade Fountains who manufacture a range of floating fountains. These self contained units not only bring breathtaking displays, but draw water from deep in the water body, providing significant aeration and, in tropical areas, mosquito control.
